Andres Algaba

Vrije Universiteit Brussel

Andres Algaba is an FWO postdoctoral researcher and guest lecturer at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. As a data scientist, he investigates artificial intelligence algorithms with a focus on their reliability and transparency. Aside from that, Andres contributes to shaping the policy on generative AI at the VUB and he was recently elected as a new member of the Jonge Academie.

VAIA, the Flanders AI Academy, is a collaborative initiative among all universities and universities of applied sciences and arts in Flanders. Their mission is to let professionals and researchers learn about the possibilities of artificial intelligence. By collecting and organizing various courses and trainings they help Flemish professionals and researchers to integrate AI critically into their work.
